this is a snapshot blog of:

Aurore

Building ‘La Tour Initiale’ designed by Claude Damery, Pierre Vetter, Gilbert Weil (originally named ‘La Tour Nobel’) in La Défense, Paris. Completed in 1966, it was the first major office building of La Défense to be built. The facade was designed and engineered by Jean Prouvé. I particularly like the vintage typeface of the word ‘AURORE’ on top of the building. Also the curved glass at the corners is wonderful and the rails in the concrete (probably for window cleaning) really become an integrated part of the design.
