villa savoye

Approaching Villa Savoye by architect Le Corbusier is not the most stunning moment of visiting it. The ‘pilotis’ underneath the raised volume with the ‘fenêtre en longeur’ have been mimicked countless times by other architects since the completion of Sayoye in 1931. What remains most impressive and what has hardly ever been matched are the interior spaces. Almost impossible to capture their qualities on a picture, like this one proves.
