lake point tower

Lake Point Tower in Chicago. Designed by architects John Heinrich and George Schipporeit in the nineteen sixties and finished in 1968. The architect had been students of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and the Lake Point Tower was inspired by Mies’ visionary design for a glass curtain skycraper from 1922 which had never been built. The building has an assymmetrical Y-shaped plan.
