this is a snapshot blog of:

manrique house (3)

Private pool in the former house of Lanzeroatean artist, designer and architect César Manrique. A few years before his death in 1992 he moved to another place on the island and transformed this house into the location of  ‘Fundación César Manrique’. The interior spaces contain two drawings by Picasso and works of various other artists. The house has two levels: the lower ground level is mainly shaped by nature and contists of the pool as well as several vulcanic bubbles; the upper ground level is a traditional white building volume with grand views over the lava fields of Lanzarote.
