Wadden Sea

View over the Wadden Sea under a cloudy sky. The picture is taken from the ferry between the city of Harlingen on the mainland and the island of Terschelling. The Wadden Sea is an intertidal area which is predominantly dry during low tide and is covered by shallow waters during high tide. The changing water and weather conditions cause the light in the area to constantly change.
