Nacho Carbonell
A few pieces from the ‘Evolution collection’ by designer Nacho Carbonell in the Groninger Museum. He wanted to create an hermitage in which to be in peace with oneself and with others amidst the frenetic rhythm of contemporary society. Actually I think his work does not need any explanation or rationalization. Not that it speaks for itself but because it holds some otherworldly connotation that words would easily demystify. But doesn’t count for any great work of art?
Een aantal stukken uit de ‘Evolution collection’ van ontwerper Nacho Carbonell in het Groninger Museum. Hij wilde een kluizenaarsplek maken waar men in vrede met zichzelf en anderen kunt verblijven in de hectische hedendaagse samenleving. Eigenlijk vind ik dat zijn werk geen uitleg of rationalisatie nodig heeft. Niet omdat het voor zich spreekt maar omdat het een soort buitenaardse connotatie heeft die woorden al snel te niet doen. Maar geldt dat niet voor alle grootse kunst?
